Does Ski-Doo have some new & improved "OEM" pistons? If so, why are they better? Or are they?:pop2:
 
New piston for the "R" engine !!!

For the ( 2007 --> ) "R" engine they have a new and improved OEM piston

BRP part # : 420 890 726

This piston is new for the 2011 season , so that noboody has been able to get enough miles on them to tell if they are better or not !

doo lowered the ring to get it further away from the ultra lean combustion and deto they tend to see at part thrtottle..

lowering the ring is well accepted as a good way to help it survive in a deto prone engine.

the flip side is a less snappy throttle due to later port closing and earlier port opening..

Yes Matilda,, the RING is the port timer, NOT the dome edge..:hippie::brushteeth:
