New site for yamaha parts-25%+ off msrp

I'll endorse them. Bought a bunch of stuff, picked it up and saved a few hundred over local. Great shop

They've got my star, not sure how they are affilliated with SAM's club
my local dealer wouldn't even touch the prices, when I asked him to match.
Definitely the place to shop when you wreck an A-arm...(whoops)

Sure go ahead and don't look after your local guys...
If they are gone you will pay the price-- they are the ones that keep you riding when you bust something and you need a part right now.
Even if you cut them to the point where they can't have a good parts stock you will be the one sitting out the weekend.
I don't own a dealership if you wonder but I do give a **** about the people who work for me and look after me when I need help.

Keep them honest but let them make a living so they can be there for you.

I'll pay the price and vote with my dollars. That's capitalism.

I used to be able to do that quite easily.....when I purchased a machine from one of the stores when I lived in Florida, they gave me a "membership" card, that was good for an automatic 10% off with no limit or expiration. And that was only buying a PW-80 (about $1200). Now that I'm in Colorado, I buy a $10,000.00+ machine from a local dealer. I priced an A arm with them and it was retail, $235.99. I asked them since I bought the machine from them can they give me a discount. "well, no, we don't do that" I was asking them to match a different company out of Illinois @ $200.54, but he couldn't do that. Didn't even try to see what the manager would do for it, absolutely offered NOTHING for assistance. I replied, "Well, that's too bad for you guys then."

Price markup on parts is bordering 35-40%. For these businesses to hold to full retail especially for a repeat customer, they are shooting themselves in the foot. I'll support the local guy, but not when there is a $60+ difference on the same part. (used the above link for 25% off, saved over $60)

C'mon, work with US!!! If the local dealers want to to business, they'll support US, not the other way around. They won't survive at ALL without local consumers, but we local consumers CAN survive without them (would rather have them around, but not when I have to give an arm and a leg to do it!)

Oh, and the whole idea about needing a part in a hurry???? When was the last time you ran into the dealer and needed a part and received any response other than, "We can order it, should be here in 5-7 business days." I can't remember when I bought "in-stock" parts from a dealer.

I am with you. My local dealer still has weights and bushings for a '83 V-max. But doesn't have any weights and bushings for a 2007 Apex.:eek:

I have tried to buy local, they just don't stock ANY parts, everything is an order in item. In that case why not order from the cheap guy? If they want ot sell parts you would think they would stock some then at least you would get the parts now for the extra 25% premium.

Hey easy now, now dearer bashing intended-i have a limited budget and sledding doesnt help it everyone is feeling a pinch these days and every dollar counts-I'd be interested to hear what you have to say when gas/diesel hits $4 bucks a gallon.

X2

Also why should I waste 1 1/2 hours of my time to go pick up parts that can be delivered to my doorstep, and can be ordered any time of the day.
