Where can i get the best deal on one of these new seats from Arctic Cat? Anyone selling them yet? :face-icon-small-coo

we looked at the new seat at turney,ak last month. about 5 of us looked at it the same time and said... Hmmm this will break........... When we Put our Knee on it it moved over a inch. Our boss's dont even budge that much IF ANY.

bottom feeder, do you think it was the same as what a production model will be? I haven't seen many demo sleds, but in every other industry I've been in the pre year product is usually a bit different than the production equipment.

Or maybe I'm off on this?

I liked the seat. IMO, more 'in seat' storage. There was some getting used to it though while riding it.

:)

$299 in the 2010 Cat accessory catalog, The color scheme/design is different than the OEM seats for '10. weird.

Shovel?

I also thought it was odd that the graphics are different than the oem.

I have heard that it has a ton of storage, but I am wondering if both the handle(seat seams to short for handle to fit) and the blade of my shovel will fit under the seat?

I think the blade might fit (might be close) but, maybe the tunnel gear bag that cat is offering will work for the handle?

What good is a shovel in your seat?

I bet I could get my shovel out of my sled as quick as you can get your pack off and shovel out....

the advantage of carrying your shovel in your pack is you've always got it with you, don't know how many times i've had to walk back to my sled to get my shovel when my buddie got stuck. doesn't feel to good when you land on it though...

New AC seat test....

Put 50 miles on, above, and kneeling on the new AC seat today. Here are my thoughts. Nice height (I'm 5'9"), a bit firm but OK, zipper is a water proof style like on a good coat, seat is bolted to the tunnel in the back (was told this may change to the quick release style) I like the bolts. The front is hooked on like current M sleds. Did not move around at all, any movement was in fact the movement of the foam. All in all I liked it, rear angle is different but no water will run in or sit on the zipper. Below is what I put in it.

Stock tool kit.
Small axe
Large tool kit (shaving kit size)
100' nylon rope
spare gloves
balacava (sp)
water bottle
container of heet
SOS shovel (blade and saw handle) "please no comments I also carry one
on my back. So should anyone else."

So there you have it, works for me. Can't wait for my new LE M8.
