New Runners vs. New Ski

Hey everyone, I've got an '03 503 with a twin axis ski. The carbides are absolutely shot on the ski. Where is the best place to get replacements? I keep seeing the twin axis ski offered for $250, would I be better off just getting another ski and saving mine for late spring conditions?

Your local source for a ski will be http://www.moto-trax.com/

$250 was the price listed on Cycle Hutt, their last involvement with the Hawks was in 2004.

You need at least the Snow Tracker kit which includes the newer designed carbides both are needed to work together.

A whole ski with these will be much more, otherwise the kit is just under $200.

Anyway to tell the newer carbides vs. the old? I bought my snowhawk at the end of last season, so I have no idea which style they are. Or... will the kit work either way?

Congrats on the Hawk. A new Simmons 10 incher is $ 245 . Where are you located ? I never used a snowtracker but unless you ride alot of trails , think about the price.

new ski

I have the new hawk ski with complete twin axis asm. in stock. 475.00$

I also have the snowtrackers in stock. Just a note they dont work well with the old carbides.

I had the simmons gen 2 last year and did not like it at all. I tried it set up several different ways and could not get it to hold in a deep powder carve like the stock ski. I won't even consider it for the trail. The stock ski profile is way better in my mind.
I think i paid just over 3oo.oo for the simmons last fall. sold it last spring
