I put V force reeds on mine and about 2 years later the rubber started to crack. So, I switched to Boyesen. There metal so no more issues. IMO they perform the same.
I just installed a set of Boyesen on mine 02 Summit 800. My father runs v-force on his 01 Summit 800. Both sleds perform the same for the most part. I was in the same position as you currently are.....deciding between v-force and boyesen. The general concensus that Ive gather from everyone on here (since this seems to be a topic that is brought up alot) is that they perform the same. However, alot of people say that the v-force will break after a certain amount of time since they are plastic, whereas the boyesen are all aluminum. The first link is to the boyeson website where I verified the part number for my sled. However I did notice that the price is a bit more for the boyesen than for the v-force. After shopping around for a couple months I came across the second site (second link) which has the boyesen reeds for $60 cheaper than the boyesen website. I bought mine, and several others from the second site and have had no complaints.
I found a used set of V-Force3 on swap meet and bought them for my 02, way sturdier boots than stock, ran a couple zip ties from the thermostat housing to the carbs to help support them, the chinsy little rubber strap between the carbs doesn't last long.
