Hey... isn't that your moms sled??

... That bumper looks awesome... I like the lower tube... when I'm burried up to my pitts I like that I can still get my hands onto the bumper.

will it fit a 06 chassie?

It should but I haven't confirmed. You could return it for a full refund if it doesn't.

Also I have a customer trying it on a edge chassis, so I will report if it works on that sled.

Ups just dropped mine off.

Wish everything I bought came with a schematic like that! She's getting bolted on tonight!!

Thanks again CoBe!!

Awesome!

Here is a little video of the assembly (not sure how the video upload will work). Messing around with some ideas to improve the installation of parts. Let me know if you think videos are help full or not. They are easy to do for small parts with little steps.

Is it approved for sno-bungie extraction purposes?

Yes, it will hold up to the extra forces of the sno-bungie.

what volcano buster said. plus, do you think you will ever offer it in white?

The bumpers are anodized aluminum so I can't offer them in white, but you could get it powder coated white. If you did I would recommend taking a bunch of parts you wanted white and have them all powder coated at the same time.

Note: I am currently out of stock but will be getting more soon. Black anodized was the most popular so I will most likely be selling them in black or raw aluminum.

JB.... some peoples "snow bungie" extraction methods are to

1) Park a second sled downhill at an angle... close to the stuck sled.

2) Hook a snow bungie to both bumpers...

3) Pin both sleds and violently rip the stuck sled out of the hole it is in...

I've seen this method bend tunnels, rip out bumpers, send parts flying etc...

Most people think of snow bungee extraction as pulling on the handle and manually helping the stuck sled out.

Be careful what you say "it will hold up to"...

Just my 2 cents.

Volcano buster... which scenario above are you referring to and have you ever ripped a stock bumper out of a tunnel using YOUR "snow bungie extraction method"??

Good point, Mountainhorse! Ya, I should probably rephrase my statement to if you using the snow bungee manually then yes the bumper should hold up to the same strength as stock one.

I'm not trying to bash a nice looking bumper, but with the shape of the upper tube it would cause a bungee to slide to one side or the other and point load the force on the joint with two bolts of unequal size. Being aluminum, I would think the bolt joint would give out or fatigue drastically causing unsightly damage to the bumper and or sled, or potentially cause bodily harm as the coiled bungee recoiled possibly with loose parts in its throw.

I am a firm believer of user beware and that you shouldn't have to warranty your product to all acts of stupidity. But with that being said, it is hard to evaluate exactly how stuck a sled is, or how much traction a high horse motored 174" track beast will actually get at WOT (or more commonly a stock sled with an anxious rider). I'm not even going to imagine all the possible scenarios as to how a bungee could be used on the back bumper, but I have seen Cat's plastic bumpers leave their chassis with not much effort and I would hate to think that this design helps some issues (flap trap) but causes other issues for the user and manufacturer.

On a positive note, I do like the idea of the reinforcement down the side of the otherwise vulnerable rear tunnel section. Plus they do like nice.

TTT for the beginning of the season. Can't wait til these are available again. The black bumper is gonna look nice up against a polished shiny tunnel.

i saw these in person at the snow show, and also met with John...he is a great guy and has some great ideas in making sick looking, tough and VERY practical products...

the bumper is slick..i like the feel, upper bar for your hands when its barried in the snow, and the lower bar to keep the snow flap from bending up when its barried as well..

GREAT PRODUCT!!

Thanks guys! Since this is a side gig, I don't have the marketing funds to advertise so your comments help. However, I do sponsor "smasher" from Team Summit and Boondockers who is getting one powder coated orange for his 2011 Assault and Fastrax is running one on their new Project Sled.

I have a bunch of black anodized ones in stock so pm to place an order. Also Fastrax is selling some with a cool fine textured powder coat and offer a pkg deal with the front bumper.

I am currently designing one for the XP so tell your buddies.
