New push turbo stuff

I have the push turbo system on my sled I installed last year and while I'm happy with the performance it's only natural to want more. I'm waiting on pricing and availability for their new standalone ecu so I've been checking on their website periodically, and it seems they have upgrades available for my current kit for $400 includes an extra injector and new wiring for the fuel box to make 200-250hp. They also have a brand new kit, I haven't seen anyone mention these and thought I'd share, they look awesome only downfall super spendy.

most likely the same standalone as impulse . Wonder whats in the 500 hp kit that its 14000?

Not the same as impulse from what I understand its the ecu from branix tuned by push pretty much all I know and 14000 is ridiculous that's more than the sled costs new.

my guess would be turbo kit+ motor work ie rods, pistons mabey porting,cams,fire ringing. you will need some serious motor work to get 500hp from the nytro motor

i do not belive its posible to get 500 hp out of the nytro engine,and get it to stay together

Maybe the price includes an extra short block? ha ha

Push has some innovative ideas, looks like a very clean kit. If anyone has video's of these kits running, can you please post them?

I think Hurricane was working on a 450 hp nytro with meth a while back, not sure what came of it.

I agree Push has some nice looking kits though, well thought out.

I am sorry but them just stating their kit can do 500hp shows they are tools when it comes to 4 strokes. Even Hurricane would not try to take a Nytro that far with a full build. A Nytro motor simply cannot make that kind of power. I think Motley probably has the strongest Nytro out (maybe Paul's new stroker Nytro if turned up) and they would say the power capabilities of the Nytro are well below 500. My point is if you are going to put that number on your site at least know what you are talking about because there are actually people that do.

I stand corrected..... Hurricane on another site:

We started working on a new project today and we thought that we would post the progress here for all you guy's to see.This is a 2009 Nitro xtx. This sled will be boosted for the trails.We are looking for 400hp on pump gas.

So it was 400 HP not 450.

They are probably rating their turbo kit, not the motor. Turbo company's do this all the time, as in x turbo is good for 850hp.

Unless of course they are including a rotating assembly, which they better be for 14gs!

Push's stuff looks really good but something about them just rubs me the wrong way.... read through the website, do they really know what they are doing over there? I might just be a skeptic, wish there was more kits on the snow.

400hp on pump gas??? do you belive in SANTA???? I just cant understand a company like hurricane has claimed this.

I don't think its so much can a Nytro make 500 Hp , it's more of how long can a Nytro run at 500Hp before it blows itself to pieces

isnt nick washburns sled built buy one stop making around the 550hp mark ? not a mountian sled i know but still it goes a 170 ish mph !

With timing, full fuel management and methanol injection I believe Dave could get close to 400 hp on a Nytro with 91 octane or 94 octane pump fuel. I believe this would be on a Dyno and definitely would not be a day in and day out rider for sure. As for a Nytro not being able to push 450 lbs, well that's just silly. Take a look at OSP and their record setting Nytros. Those guys, along with Dave at Hurricane have built a Nytro motor that can handle boost over 30 lbs. Ductile iron sleeves, extended ARP studs, radical proven head work, rods, high HP pistons, o-ringed motor etc will allow you to run well over 450 hp on the Nytro. It is about testing and testing again and spot on fuel management.

I am hoping to have the V2 TEC on my beast in late December. I will be pushing 26-28 lbs and if the camera guy can keep up I will have video to prove it. I will be pushing C116 and methanol injection through a Hurricane built motor and I will be well over 400 horse. Should be a blast ( hopefully not in the literal sense).

there is apex motors that have made 600hp well over 30lbs boost ,so if you do the math a nytro could make 500hp but would take allot of money & would be a drag race only motor.the mountain are a 100times harder on motors than the track.
