New problem with my 2011 Pro

Last night I removed my side panels and hood and both clutches to inspect and clean. I notice the belly pan had a lot of oil down there. I removed the exhaust and found the problem. The exhaust socket seal was shot. (goes between the Y pipe and the exhaust pipe)This sled has only 500 miles on it.
I just got this sled and I have never driven it.
All the springs were attached and nothing looked out of the ordinary. Anyone have any idea what would cause this? Anyone else have this problem or am I the only one. My other Pro with 1100 miles has had no issues.:face-icon-small-con

I believe that's the problem because I could see that's where the oil was coming from and the seal is chewed up in several places. The gasket between the Y pipe and the block was clean. No oil there. What else could do this?

The oil could be from new even, it's not a big deal. New donut and you are GTG.

I noticed the same thing. I would not think any oil from the y pipe bung wouldnt drip down there. Under the engine was oily as well and especially under the y pipe it was really bad.

Its leaky Y pipe gaskets. Ive got the same problem. Put a dab on your finger and smell it. It should be really burnt smelling. I also had oil leaking all out of my oil cap cause the cheap bottle had the threads crushed into a triangular shape and the cap didnt hold a seal anymore.

If it were mine, I would check to make sure the motor mounts are good and tight. There is quite a bit of rocking movement at that joint when the motor is put under load then released. The inside of the pipe bell where it mates to the graphil seal is usually not smooth so over time that seal will get chewed up. I also like to clean the inside of the bell and the seal. Once clean, I will use a high temp RTV and put a good coating on the mating surface of the seal and a light coating of oil on the inside of the bell. Now I slide the bell over it and don't put a lot of pressure on the connection. Let the RTV cure for a couple days, then re-install the springs. This is a short term solution, but the joint now has a rubberized seal and minimizes leaks. It also fills in the holes in the seal where the pipe has started to chew holes in it.

I do something very smilar. The only problem with the high temp RTV is it only lasts so long and it stinks the first few rides. I always think something is on fire! LOL

It's from people starting it up and idling it when they were looking at buying it. Now you bought it and noticed it. Get it warm and burn it all out. You're GTG.

Mabe its the EV hose dripping, under the pipe/Y pipe

This is what I'm guessing it is! If it is you can extend the exhaust valve hose over to the chaincase side so that is drips out over there for easy clean up..

oil cap

x2 on the oil cap, everytime you lean your sled over while playing on it, oil leaks out of cap and it doesnt take long to give you a puddle on your belly pan. seen it alot last year.

Thank you everyone! I did take the doughnut to my Polaris dealer. When I showed the doughnut to the shop foreman who I have known for years laughed at me and said yeah it's shot. So I did order a new one $6. He also told me to bend the tabs on the exhaust pipe back just a hair, but not too much or I won't get the springs back on. I did notice on the Y pipe that there are two bumps that fit into two indents on the doughnut. I wonder if they did not get that lined up correctly at the factory. The oil in the belly pan was black as can be so I believe it was not oil spilled from the reservoir. Many years ago I had the exact same thing happen to my 99 XC700. Only difference is I had 17,000 miles on that sled at the time. :face-icon-small-con
