new m1000 needs help

i just picked up a 08 new hold over m1000 for a smoking deal (thanks arctic cat for the rebate) any ways right away the tach was messed up had water in it so took it in for warranty and had them do the up dates and remap the ecu to 09 specs as part of the recall now i took the sled out and it doesn't pull as hard as before the rollers on the secondary are burning the sled has a bad bog spot about half throttle and the reverse light and beeper will go off if you hit a jump or bump it wont ingage the reverse it just beeps and has the (r) light on any help would be great

Belt deflection and alignment will solve most of the problems you have listed. Get a different primary clutch spring with a softer engagement and stiffer full shift and you should be fine.

Watch the shift fork arm to see if it looks like its engaging when put into reverse it could be seized from sitting to long, not to sure why beeper goes off when hitting a bump though. JMT

id call cat direct and see about the ecu it was a common problem i blew one motor and ended up selling my sled from the 09 map the 07 was way better all you can do is either see if they will get you an ecu or and this might be easier to call derek at attitude industries and buy a box from him he has a fuel controller that will fix it good luck

I agree with the guys @ Racing Station belt deflection is so so inportant but no one ever takes the time to adjust it as your clutchs wear. I have a 2007 and the reverse servo motor went out after 2400 miles it did the same thing it would work cold but after a few minutes of riding the alarm would go off and quit working until cooled off. I replaced both the servo motor and the switch @ that time works great for the rest of the season.? Worth a try?
good luck it is a sick sled when u get the bugs worked out.

i agree that belt deflection is important but my thing is when it had the stock 08 ecu it ran like a mofo now with the 09 up date the sled doesn't pull as hard has a bad bog spot in it and the reverse is tweaking out has any one had a problem with cat re-flashing your ecu and can you get the stock ecu flash back

I thought there was a 2010 reflash available. What Octane gas are you running, should be 87 octane nothing more it will only cause problems. Unless you have mods.
