A friend and I came up with a venting idea. Pardon us if it has been done before, but I have not seen it and it seems to work well. We cut two 2 1/8 inch holes on each side of the steering post. We found some old hood screen and attached it over the holes with rivets. We also put a piece of aluminum behind the post to reinforce the gap in the cowling. I removed the heat deflector under the hood but you could also cut the top half off. This lets out a lot of heat and if your hands get cold you can use it as a hand warmer!
Just thought I would share this idea as it is cheap and effective.
