No Cartridge needed... Looks super innovative

DESCRIPTION

The PIEPS JETFORCE is the first electronic avalanche airbag with jet-fan technology that only needs ambient air for inflation. JETFORCE is the result of the collaboration between PIEPS and Black Diamond, two leading innovators in snow safety.

AUTOMATIC SELF-DIAGNOSIS
The integrated PIEPS electronics perform a system check on every startup and additional checks while armed. LEDs indicate the system status.

JET-FAN
The battery-powered jet-fan inflates the extremely resistant 200 airbag in 3 seconds. Frequently refills prevent that air escapes in case of small tears.

MULTIPLE DEPLOYMENTS
The travel-friendly and compact Lithium-ion -battery supports 4 or more deployments per charge.

USER PRACTICE
The airbag is easy to inflate and repack for several deployments or for practice. Intuitive handling. Zero cost.

AUTOMATIC DEFLATION
The airbag automatically deflates after 3 minutes. In case of emergency the pressure on the buried person is reduced and the evolved 200 l air pocket ensures oxygen supply. Therefore the chance of survival is rising.

HIGH PERFORMANCE BATTERY FOR EXTREME TEMPERATURES
The newest and intelligent battery-technology is specially designed and certifi ed for extreme minus temperature (-30°C). Maximum performance and long lifetime.

Wow... 1000 bucks for the one piece jump suit. These prices just get more and more insane every year. How much do you really think it costs to get this stuff made in CHINA? Not to mention the 600.00+ jackets or bibs. Eric

1k one piece, 60k trucks, 7$ quarter pounder meal. 17 bucks for a 30 pack of keystone light might be the only good deal left!!! Some cool new gear coming out so I guess Ya gotta pay to play!!! I'm gonna look for a paper route tomorrow!

Is that the entire lineup or just the redesigned stuff, i looked on there site and saw alot of things no longer listed for 2015-16 like the valdez, tomahawk, & storm jackets, no togwotee bib. Maybe they are just really trying to size their line down?

I DO see the Valdez, Tomahawk, and Togwotee bibs as current offerings for the 2016 season... they just have not been redesigned so they are not listed as "NEW"...

All of the discontinued stuff is listed as "NON CURRENT". For example, a 2014 Valdez Parka is "non current" (at a significant discount in limited sizes) ... and is different than the 2015/2016 Valdez model.

Dan Adams was testing this last season. The fan sounds like a hair drier. I dont think it has much room for storage for the size of the bag. Eric

Be aware that they've had a recall on the Jetforce bags, and make sure you don't get one that needs to be sent back.

Klim has always impressed me with their "Top Shelf" quality, it truly is worth the price and I'm looking forward to trying some of the newer items as my budget allows!
