Been working on this for a bit should be ready to sell by first of march. Main thing is I hate inter-cooler is they do not cool and the create to much under hood heat. This should fix all of those issues.

only thought I have was also a thought of thinking about his for my own setup..

when the snow first jams into it the melting snow should work awsome.. wondering if it ices up around it it will creat sort of an ice cavity? so no airflow and no fresh snow contact.

bet it would work insanely well on high speed skis in the sky climbs.. just curious about other time.. not being a nay sayer, i think its the best option out there for M sled intercoolers. BUT... just thinking out loud.. also really like the bumper.

Inter-coolers

Inter-coolers are about 750
Bumpers are going to be around 350 have not locked in a price yet still working out details
Kit is looking to be about a 1000.00

Powder coating is going to an option also.

Maybe build a screened airbox a couple inches in front of intercooler with alternate air fow ducted from stock hood ducting also include a fan on the back of the intercooler to draw fresh air. Seems like a warm intercooler would not have any problem with snow or slush buildup, if boost creating enough heat. Also may want protection from sticks, ice, boondocking, etc.---maybe some sort of durable directional venting attatched to the bumper assembly to withstand brush and branches--similar to what is on a radiator of a dirtbike. --just suggestions, your R&D testing will show what you need--

What kits will this hook up with??

Thanks

Kit

Should be universal I have it hooked up to an OVS but with the right piping should be able to connect to most kits. If you have an inter-cooler and want to just get the bumper you can the cooler we are using just fits the best that we have seen.

Pics in testing

I went for a Ride today works great rode in fluff all day long and works great did not get any snow past the cooler. Hear are a few pics.

I love the idea but I think I would have a tree jammed through the IC in about one ride, especially with the low snow we have this year. Any ideas about how to protect it?

Cooler

This is no flimsy bike cooler. It is built very well I am not concerned about sticking a tree in it and if anyone know me and how I ride this would be the first thing I would address. I love the trees

Like the bumper!!! looks like it could handle a tree or two!

So did you notice a signifcant inprovement in pormance? If so, what specifically? Why would I put it on my OVS TM1000? Jsut asking cause I don't really know.

Thanks and it looks good.

coolers do you need them?

I think sometime and then some times no. If you have one does it work good I doubt it. I tried putting them on a couple of M1000 with no luck in fact I think they hurt performance. Created too much under hood heat. If you can keep charge temps down it will help read life and run better. The ada system on pump gas does not need them but race gas ADA for sure the system can not handle high charge tube heat. That is the reason I built it was to build an inter-cooler that works with out a fan and will cool the intake temps.

Thats is a good idea the only problem that i can see with it is that an air to air IC needs air flow to work and when the snow gets built up in front of it ( like in your pics) there is minimal flow if any there for not transfering heat properly
