new guy from casper wyoming

hey guys, im a newb in more than one way, my girlfriend got me on a sled for the first time 2 seasons ago, learned to ride on a 03 vertical escape and have been hooked ever since. after about 3 trips of driving 20 feet , getting stuck and then going another 20 feet before getting stuck, I am starting to figure it all out. she just bought me a old 98 rmk 700 thats been modified, 151 track, and re geard for my big ol butt. it has some issues i am looking for help with.. Joined another forum a few weeks ago and responses were kinda slow and not alot of the info i was looking for. regardless im hoping this one is a little more to my liking. I am a carpenter, and love to wrench on my truck . i am a diesel enthusiast and love horsepowers. I know my sled is canned, piped, and clutch work done to it, but I dont have a CLUE when it comes to diagnosing these. thanks for all the help.

this site is awesome for getting the answers you need. Be sure to try out the "search" feature in the top right corner. It's amazing how much knowledge is shared around here.

And welcome to Snowest btw...:yo:

First off, welcome to SnoWest. Glad to hear you share the same sickness we all do ;) I too live in Casper, and so does another friend of mine on here. Those 1998 700's were bullet proof, and will treat you right!!! If you have any questions feel free to give me a holler.

Thanks. It needs some work, headlight doesn't work, tach works half the time, and I'm fairly certain that shocks are gone too tunnel/ running boards are kinda best up, but I think it will be good to learn on.
