Dale showed me these when I was there yesterday, really cool gauge pack.

it does... everything, and then has two more spots open so you can check for pucker pressure & other assorted needs!

3 psi gauges, egt, afr, 3 temp locations (water, charge temp, something else?)

20 second record/ playback, and most important to me, VERY obvious warning light, and very easy to read boost gauge (bars across top)

Coming out in May.

what is the advantage of that product?

not to be rude yeti... but go to my first post, and read it.

The advantage is pretty obvious, ONE gauge that reads everything you'd ever want to read on the sled & data-logging for ALL those parameters.

Is it something you or I want... I dunno, but it's a pretty big step to have that amount if info in one unit. Keep in mind it's also going to have a home in other applications that sledding as well,

They've put this thing in an oven for 2 hours, and I saw pics of it underwater, turned on & working! Esoteric... heck yeah!! Way cool though... DEFINITELY!

Btw, I think he said price was $900something. Not cheap, but it's brand new.

ESOTERIC????? Wow, I am impressed. Any post on a snowmobile forum that makes me go to dictionary.com gets a green thumbs up from me!

As regards the gauge...seems like it is one of those super expensive tools you really really want but keep convincing yourself you don't need and ten whn you do break down and buy it, you wonder how you went all that time without it.

And if it combines all those gauges into one, wouldn't it be saving u some money by not buying 6 individual gauges? Plus u lose all the clutter!

Probably wont need it on my stock. orange Proclimb 800(and yea it will have a sally long track...162) but in 2yrs when I turbo it....this thing will be the ticket!

rude? :nono:

KOSO DB-02R, Mychron and micro Dash are already used by people on Pro 800 and M800.

they have also knock alarm, heat alar, 02 display including alarm, they show rpm and few more information's and water proof
and under 300 usd

so my question again, what is the advantage?
any gps module inside? elevation recorder? micro wave? or DVD player?

a better pic I found

You ask what advantage, I didn't know in regards to what. I've never seen a gauge that does 1/2 of what this does, much less all this stuff in a billet case that's waterproof & well built.

To me, compared to my 400something worth of gauges on my sled that still are missing a bunch of things that he has on there, the advantage is pretty obvious, but it's also more money, so it's up to the potential buyer.

What kind of cost are we talking cause I would deffintly pay a little more to get ride of all the clutter.

Will the cutler gauge work on any setup or is it specific to his kit.

Looking at his test rig (a bunch of temp sensors & psi inputs) I can't imagine why this wouldn't work on any sled, it's just regular probes, tubes, and AFR attachments from what I can see.

oh, it also runs on AC or DC, that was something he mentioned, he had a switch on the tester to go from one to the other.

Keep in mind, I don't work for Dale or know much about it other than what it does, I just had some time to kill while Jay was looking over my sled for things I've broken, screwed up, cobbled, or otherwise destroyed in the 1050 miles since mid January when I bought it. (main reason, I broke the boost nipple off my box... turns out they work better with the box reading boost... go figure!)

I just thought this thing was pretty cool, and when I asked if I could snap a pic, Dale said sure.

btw, just looked at the units you mentioned yeti, and they look to have a ton of info that we don't need, and not all that we do need. I see no mention of boost psi on the koso for just one example. It seemed pretty specific to streetbikes, also I'd question the durability in comparison, this thing looks MEAN, if you feel it, you'll know what I mean!

they have analog and digital input, so you can show what ever you want on the display.. even the local weather if you want.

What exactly renders this into usable info though? it has to process it somehow. You bringing your laptop along so you can have a few extra gauges?

Look at the features of the koso unit you mentioned, and explain to me how to get it to show boost, afr, egt, water temp, oil pressure... the things that we want.

I get what you're saying, but I don't see these as being a direct comparison.

Awsome looking. Now are ALL the connections on the back or a interface connection in the engine bay and just a communication cable to the unit. Just wondering for the ones that have to mount them up by the handle bars.

They look to all connect after the grey cord that you see in the 2nd pic, the back of the box is solid billet aluminum.

I didn't look at how that cord terminated, sorry. I would assume it has the normal terminations for egt/ afr/ boost inputs.

Looks really neat. Should check out the Race Pak UDX. It does all that and alot more. It is nice to have options.

Got a real good look at Dale's new guage also. All inputs are thru a module under the hood with a comm cable up to guage head. All billet construction looks military grade, and total waterproof is a total plus! 4 temp inputs, 3 pressure inputs, AC/DC operation, I don't remember how many pluse inputs (3 or 4) good for engine, jackshaft, or driveshaft RPM. Air/Fuel capable. You can change backlight color at the touch of a button. Bright enough to read in full sun, and super bright warning LED. Also, includes 2 EGT probes of much greater accuracy and quality than usually found in some competitors set-ups.

Possible applications go way beyond sleds. Mod diesel trucks, off road buggys, razrs, etc... Photos do not do the quality construction and functionality justice. Dale builds quality product using all top components. You will get what you pay for without the bait and switch.

Really cool part is the way he stands behind all his stuff. Hard to beat the way this guy does business.

Nice looking guage! One thing I'd prefer changed would I'd rather have a number for the boost guage than a bunch of bars that I have to count. Little hard to tell the difference of 12psi and 16psi while you're at WOT. I would want a big number. But otherwise....Cool!

The more products out there the better.
