Hi all,
I am returning to the hobby after about 12 years of not owning or riding a sled. I worked in the industry for about 18 years and lived and breathed it to the point of complete burn out. I retired from the industry and started a new career in the oil industry and finally started to get some desire back for some riding. In my former career I was a tech for a large BRP dealer and also service manager over local Yamaha dealership. I was involved in the race programs building the race sleds and also cross country racing my own machines.
Being out of it completely for so long it took me a while researching and how things have changed with the machines, I spent some time doing my home work before buying. I am a low land rider enjoying swamps, lakes and trails so I wasn't looking for a mountain sled so I purchased a 16' Polaris Switchback Pro S 800. As a former Polaris hater this was tough as I have always been a Skidoo rider, from my research though this seemed like the perfect machine for my type of riding so I have jumped ship.
Now hopefully, Alaska will actually get some snow this winter. We haven't had a good winter for snow in a while.
