Mark Lloyd, a scary radical who has a plan to impose stifling government control, has been appointed as "chief diversity officer" at the FCC. A disciple of Alinksy, he laid out his strategies in a 2006 book.

Matt Cover of CNS News has done us a great service by actually reading the book "Prologue to a Farce: Communications and Democracy in America" (University of Illinois Press).

In the book, Lloyd also said that public broadcasting should be funded through new license fees charged to the nation's private radio and television broadcasters, and that new regulatory fees should be used to fund eight new regional FCC offices.

These offices would be responsible for monitoring political advertising and commentary, children's educational programs, number of commercials, and content ratings of the programs. ...

Frequently referencing one of his heroes, left-wing activist Saul Alinsky, Lloyd claims in his book that the history of American communications policy has been one of continued corporate control of every form of communication from the telegraph to the Internet.


There's much more. A chief diversity officer can harass, and probably force a lot of information out of companies. Lloyd clearly wants government to be the dominant voice in information.

The FCC used to be an engineering and technology based bureau, many years ago, 1950's, when I was getting interested in electronic communications, and electronics.

They were heavily involved in researching new communication technologies.

Back then there was only radio, TV, and telephone, BUT the FCC wasn't another liberal political arm of the government as it is now.

DoJ drops prosecution of top Dem

An unpleasant smell attends the Department of Justice decision to not prosecute New Mexico Governor (and Obama ally) Bill Richardson. Fresh on the heels of the Department declining to prosecute the New Black Panthers for voter intimidation, while appointing a special prosecutor for CIA interrogators, the appearance of a politicized Justice Department is being created.


Fox News reports:


New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson and former high-ranking members of his administration won't be criminally charged in a yearlong federal investigation into pay-to-play allegations involving one of the Democratic governor's large political donors, someone familiar with the case said.


The decision not to pursue indictments was made by top Justice Department officials, according to a person familiar with the investigation, who asked not to be identified because federal officials had not disclosed results of the probe. [emphasis added]


"It's over. There's nothing. It was killed in Washington," the person told The Associated Press.


"Top Justice Department officials" would seem to indicate a political appointee, possibly Eric Holder.


When the top political official in a state is not prosecuted, the DoJ has an obligation to lay out the reasons. Public confidence requires a full airing of the reasons behind the decision. If political appointees overruled the recommendation of career officials, a scandal is at hand.

OK, this is freaking me out. I watched the whole clip of Beck's uncovering of what this freak has said. They plan on taxing the crap out of conservative media and they have this "formula" of 4 or 5 things you must have (like diversity which is racism) and if ONE of the 4 or 5 is missing you lose and have to pay a huge fine. This man thinks that the commie Venezuelan model was something to be PROTECTED and the evil business owners got in the way and had to be stopped.

This is very, very serious and there needs to be some serious attention paid to this. The White House hasn't even denied any of it (they can't). The only thing they corrected is this guy is not a "czar." Give me a break!

They're not much happier about a revised version that aides to Sen. Jay Rockefeller, a West Virginia Democrat, have spent months drafting behind closed doors. CNET News has obtained a copy of the 55-page draft of S.773 (excerpt), which still appears to permit the president to seize temporary control of private-sector networks during a so-called cybersecurity emergency.

Ollie I think you are right. I think there may be real civilian unrest of some sort within the next month depending on how the health care thing goes. Nervous about armed rebellion, but regular old rebellion would be good. We can't let them get too well prepared either. He could be prepping his internment centers. One year ago you could not have written a movie script that would have come close to this.

Tonight Glenn was talking about this again and had Pat Cadell on again. Pat is a liberal who was former senior adviser to President Jimmy Carter, now a Democratic pollster. He also worked for Cuomo, Gary Hart, Walter Mondale.

PAT feels what is happening here with these marxist and admitted communist czars is a threat to the Democratic party. HE said these are extremists. HE wants answers. He said Mark Lloyd comes from the Center for American Progess, he was a senior fellow there. CAP is financed by George Soros. John Podesta runs it. He also said Cass Sunstein (regulatory czar) is "so far out there" Pat knows people in Hollywood who think he is dangerous being in charge of regulation.

Pat said he's hearing from tons of other libs alarmed at this who call him up. Then remember what he said about people in Hollywood. Pat said he is scared. WHAT? Is Hell freezing over??? Are pigs flying???
