Looking at buying a new f350 diesel supercrew, what are yalls experiences good or bad? Been running gasser 1/2 tons for years.

Well I don't know what you think good mileage is but I am getting 18 in town and around 19-21 on the highway in my 2012 f250 all stock, they are sweet trucks pull the trigger. Cummins get 12 and the dirtymax is around 16

I get 14 around town and 17 @ 75 on the highway, anywhere from 10-15 towing depending on load and conditions on my '12 Cummins. The non-DEF Cummins average about 2 mpg less than the newer PowerStrokes and maybe 3 less than the newer Duramaxes do .... I'm not sure what the '13 DEF Cummins are getting.

I had my heart set on an F350 last year, but I couldn't find the one I wanted for less than $55k .... I got the Dodge for $49k. You can buy a lot of diesel for $6k :)

14 mpg is about the best I've seen with 35s on the freeway at about 70 or so. Gets slightly better with the DPF delete and chip but not worth the cost. Its also quite a bit louder now.

I'm running 3:31 gears which helps, stock tires/rims

2013 Dodge Hands down easy to work on and I'm getting 20-22 HWY.

I'm currently driving a 2013 Ram 2500 mega cab with 3:42 gears and came from a 2011 F250 Crewcab 3:55 gears 6.7L I've picked up about 2mpg at 18mpg empty and towing i'm pretty even with my ford at 11mpg for a 9k# fifth wheel. I'm really liking everything about the cab room, ride, quiteness in the cab of the Ram but I sure miss my ford engine. I had my 2011 F250 for 2 years and it had 32,000 miles on it. It was never in the shop once never had any kind of mechanical issue with the engine or anything else for that matter just normal maintenance and so far my Ram has been in twice for check engine light which was fixed with updates in the first 4k miles. As far as pulling power I'll take the Ford any day at this point. Hills my Ford would accelerate up with the fifthwheel the Ram is actually slowing down let alone holding its speed.

I went from a Ram to a Ford with the purchase of a 2013 F350 in July. Thought my Ram was all that, but I like the Ford more. A lot to be said for quiet. Lol. Oh, and the difference in power is crazy.

had a 2011 f250 for about 2.5 years, just went back down to an Expedition due to family needs.

The power was great. I had some issues early on, but it was just some chaffing in a harness that was repaired and never had another issue. Put just about 60k miles on it during that time.

with stock wheels/tires i was in the high teens to low 20's highway speeds.

However, the stock tires SUCK in the snow. swapped them out for the goodyear duratrac's and mileage dropped about 2-3mpg. highwas was closer to 17-18 and towing i was around 10-11 depending on load and wind/speed/etc.

heading from MN to WY with inline and averaging around 75mph got about 9-10 depending on headwind.

However, it never missed a beat and pulled like a tank even going up hill at 70mph. hardly knew the trailer was there.

If you're buying for the better mileage of the diesel, pass on it. If you're buying it to get a great tow vehicle that has great creature comforts on the inside, go for it.

would buy another in a heart beat if my family needs change again.
