Anybody out there from the CT, RI, MA, VT, or NH areas? I would like someone to ride with in the VT/NH area.

Anybody in these areas looking for a hawk? I know of a good deal for someone on an '04' 600. I'd buy it myself, but having just bought a 500, 600 and 800 I'm all spent out.

I think the '04' 600 I know of can be had for $4,000. It has very little use and would need the rings replaced. I'd really prefer to see it stay on the east coast.

Need to know what year and what may have been done to them. 04's have a known problem with the rings which requires their replacement. If this has been done, it would affect the value. Do they come with moving dollies?

Where you find one should also be a consideration. Finding one locally allows you to see it first hand and save a $500-600 shipping charge. It seems to me that $5,000-$6,000 is the price range a person would like to get. This person will keep it if he can't get his price. The person who really wants it to move will accept around $4,000 to $4,500. At that price a person can buy it and have it shipped to them for around $5,000.

If the 2 you've found are local and you could get them for $4,750 a piece, that would be a nice deal for both sides.

keep in mind that there are some must haves on this machine to make it trail worthy.

1 snow tracker kit on the outside of the ski $175ish (must have)

2 trail adaptor bracket (makes it a little easyer to ride on harder pack) $375

3 foot peg relocation brackets from sleder 2 or scram 600 $100 to $200 it makes your skid work somewhat right! and not blow your drive shaft like i did!

4 frame reinforcng kit from tlkdpro it wll cost you a little now! or whole crap load in $$$ and time later when you bend your frame like i did and then have to take your whole machine apart to replace it with a costley new frame from ADB! and i dont think they have maney frame sections left. so you could really be screwed!!! dont take the chance. buy the kit! i think he wants around $150ish for it.

people should know that there is the added cost on this stuff when geting the older machines. if you choose not to get them, good luck!

now you also know why there can be a big swing on used prices! sure you may be able to pick up a hawk for $4500 but you might still need to drop $1000 into it thats happend to me but i also had the front forks done and a full tuneup from the dealership (not knowing anything about sleds) which cost me another $500! still the best $$$ i ever spent.

That reminds me of this.....

This fella had been dating this attractive young lady for about 3 weeks. Everything was going great and they had been on numerous dates. i wont mention any names but a guy i know was having marital issues and she said he needed to move out and she wanted a divorce....she switched teams! poor guy....i mean, she didnt even let him stay and watch for a nite!
