New engine or not?

I have not had a Polaris sence 2001. I just bought a Pro RMK. Been on a Doo from 2002. Sold the REV and didn't ride at all last year.

Anyhow, What changes to the engine has Polaris made from the Dragon to the RMK.

I went to visit a guy that is a dyed in the wool Polaris fan and he told me that his dragon burned down 3 times last winter and his sons burned down 4 times and the last one was out of warranty. I know this guy really well and he is not the type to tell me lies.

I wish I had been riding with him last winter to see all the problems he had and how the Pro worked, before I dropped all that $$$ on a new sled.

Makes me a little nervous about my new Polaris.

Off the top of my head, They went from a 4 injector set up to a 2 injector, and the pistons are different/updated. Others will chime in as well. I came off a Doo Rev and ordered a 11 pro last season, and have never looked back, sled has been rock solid, 1200 Mtn miles last season, without an issue.

How did it handle compared to the REV? I rode an 08 XP and didn't like it so much. Sitting on the Pro feels alot like my REV but I have not gotten to ride it yet. My REV had a Boss seat and around 150 Hp so I am hoping the Pro feels closer to my riding syle than the XP.

I have done plenty of gargage riding the last month or so.

2 injectors. They changed the port timing. Pistons and cylinders are a much closer fit then dragons.

Sorry AK, I accidentally fat fingered the thumbs down on my phone.

I had many many burn downs with my dragon, the pro has been awesome. 1600 miles all with a Silver turbo.

When it comes to handling I feel as if the Pro is nothing like the rev or the XP, similar to the M but a lot more forgiving. You can make mistakes in tight terrain and the Pro will always pull out with very little effort. The rev and XP take a lot more rider input. I have owned both and coming off from the Doo's to the Pro it has made technical riding 10X more fun and I'm not wore out by the end of the day trying to maintain lines from the Doo's
