What is the weight and what is the weight of the hood that it replaces? How much $$$?

Does snow go through the screen?

Weight of Diamond S hood is 5.5 pounds, am unsure of weight on stock hood. The main reason I replaced stock hood is to get more air flow. The mesh on the hood is the same as I use on all hoods - we've never had any snow problems through the mesh - Nytro hoods are $400.00 US and can be shipped UPS.
