New Cylinder for Mach Z triple...

We will soon have a new cylinder availible for the mach Z. It will be availible for several stroke and bore sizes up to 1160cc with the stock crank! And 1250with a 73mm stroker crank. The stock stroke setups will be set up to accomadate the stock rod, making this a much more affordible option than ther cylinder setups that require 132mm rods for the larger bore sizes.
Call for more info...

Did the cylinders show up yet Nate? Did you decide on an mono block head or still going to use the individual heads? I have two engines I would like to go ape on. I still want to build the 1225cc and then build the other one off the stock bottom end. I will be in touch.

Dave, I was going to give him a call again today and see if their is an update. He tells me that he doesn't make it on here that much. Were you planning on sending them to Lowell? - Mike

I thought I would let Nate grind on them or possably someone else I have in mind. I figure he has done so many in other applications he should be able to get the power out of them. I think Lowell is way to busy with his move and everything. Now I see Nate has his M-chassis for sale. That's what I need too, with a 1225cc Rotax triple in it!! I think I need a lot more money.

Dave, whats with all this triple talk? I thought you were on to the turbo thing.
I thought I would let you know that the 950 is a rippin little motor, at least for the few rides it's been out. Pulls like a mother. Thanx for doing your home work every thing went together perfect.
Good luck with the next triple, it should be a fun one that's for sure.

I have been wondering about that engine. Glad to hear it's working well for you!! I should have kept that one!! Still doing the turbo thing, just can't get away from the Rotax triples. Seems like I aquired a few more in the last few months and a nice 1225 would be a blast and Nate has the cylinders to build one. I think he's building a 1300cc. Give me a call, I would like to talk to you about the 950.

Will do Dave . Talk to you soon.

For those who have not called Nate on these cylinders. These are not like others for this application. These are a ten port design and the bolt pattern allows a ture bolt on cylinder (other than case work). Last time I talked with Nate he was thinking of keeping the waterpump and head set-up like stock on the smaller cc engines, so this will allow for a cheaper priced kit. These cylinders should come out of the mold making good power without porting to save some bucks up front. Then you could have them ported for some additional power at a later time. They are a more precise cylinder out of the mold and specific to the Rotax triple, and not a generic cylinder made to fit. These will allow you the bigger bore on the stock crank. No stroking and no rod changes, unless you want even bigger diplacenment.

I have been told a price, but I am not sure if that price was a final calculation, but I will tell you it's competative with the other "kits". I will leave the cost up to Nate. If he does not respond I will call him and ask.

The pistons will either be OEM or whatever aftermarket factory replacement piston you choose. I think some of the stock stroke, stock rod set-ups do require a custom piston that is on the shelf at any time. This piston is only because of the 18mm wrist pin and larger bore. Kind of like what the Crank Shop offers.

The ball park price should be around $2500 for the complete topend kit. The 82mm cylinders are getting sent off for plateing and then off to the dyno for pipe tuneing. The 82mm cylinders will be set-up for exhaust valves but the larger bores will not. The 82mm cylinders are a case mod, stock crank and rod set-up and will use a Polaris ATV piston for off-the-shelf availability and to keep the price low.

Kit will come with the O-rings, gaskets, heads with billet inserts and studs. Basiclly everything you would need to bolt the cylinders on. You will need pipes. The cylinders are going to be speced out with Jaws pipes. Greg (@Jaws) is working with the cylinders to find the best pipe configuration that will make the best overall HP and torque.

Hey Dave... I just got to finally see these cylinders first hand at a local shop around here. They look real good and the same quality of other CP Industries cylinders like he makes for the Banshee and 250R.

Too rich for my blood at the moment though! :face-icon-small-fro
