New company in Rapid City

Does this seem like a good idea?

An Israeli weapons company is opening a manufacturing plant in Rapid City that will create at least 19 new full-time jobs

I have no problem with a gun mfr. but I have a problem with a foreign gun mfr. being here.

Think of it how our companies outsource to other countries like India etc. and our workers don't see a dollar of it. I can remember what the job market was like after Ellsworth AFB downsized, and business closed. I'd say Rapid could use any new buisness in their community. I see nothing wrong with a foreign business so long as they hire Americans. With an Israeli company I don't see that being a problem due to security reasons.

If it was not in American interests they would not allow it.

There is tons of gun manfucat. around the area.... guess where over 50% of the weapons go??????


Overseas.. now a lot of these are custom match grade rifles and shotguns.. but americans aren't the only one that has a need for guns.. .. Plus people for other countries pay some major "jack" for guns..

As a few people know on here.. the produce a complete gun in the U.S. is not an easy task with the gov't.. of course thats if they know about it..

As crazy as hte Middle East is, a country that is considered our "friend" can be our enemy with the simple change of regimes. I remember being in the Navy and having to train Pakistanis to run the ship I was on because the US was decommissioning it and leasing it and six or 7 other ships to Pakistan. I am not a fan of foreign countries producing our weapons or producing weapons for them here. Now that China is buying Hummers, does that mean that the US is going to have to buy Humvees from China for military use? If so that is scary, you have heard the story about the US sending phones or computers to foreign countries with chips in them so we could shut them down if we wanted to? What if the Chinese did that to our Humvees?
