new Cat owner

Just bought an 06 M7 so I guess I'm in the Cat herding club now! :)

I'm 6'7" tall and want to raise the bars a bunch. Suggestions? Which cables/lines/wires will I need to lengthen, etc?

I also would like to raise the seat quite a bit and wouldn't mind losing some weight. Perhaps a motorcycle seat on a 4130 frame (I can do all the design and fab)?

Thanks guys, I look forward to seeing how she rides and if she lives up to what everyone has been saying about the great handling.

as for the risers most get away with 3" and alot get away with 4" with no cable or brake line extensions. Im 6' 2" and would like to have a 5 or 6 inch riser but when they get that tall you have to worry about bending things when you roll the sled so I just make do with my 4". If you want to go taller I would look into a new longer stronger steering post. I believe fastlane makes one. For the riser I would get oles. As for the seat boss is the most weight saving seat out there and waterproof. The cat 2010 seat is a bit lighter than yours not waterproof but is cheaper than a boss seat. There are also a few other seat options out there like wrp seats which look really neat but kind of pricey.

I went 5.5 inches easily by buying a fly extened brake line, and I bought an 09 sno pro throttle cable. The cable is only about 2 inches longer than stock, but if you take your stock cable and re-route it around the right side of the motor you will gain a ton of length. the rest of your wires can be stretched if you remove the aluminum "fire wall" that covers your steering post. Cut some zip ties and stuff, and you are there!

Try the telescopic steering post from BDX (on SpeedWerx's website). It's direct bolt on and made of Moly if I remember right. Should be pretty tough. Also get the AMP riser to go with it. Moves the bars forward 1.5" and up another 2". Along with the 09 throttle cable, that should get you there.

Boss seats are only $370 shipped now if you know where to look.

Also there's a local guy up here making really sweet moto/freestyle seats that you may want to check out. I know him personally and he's great to deal with.
