Martin at AFI Performance in Edmonton installed a comp cam (from Texas Performance Speed) this weekend in my vette. I told him I wanted a cam that was a 5/10 on the mild to aggressive side.
I'm pretty happy with the results. The cam is really tame actually. The car idles at 700rpm with only the most slight lope. There's no surging when cruising at low rpms. I did lose a little fuel economy, 7.3L/100km to 8.3L/100km but that was with the AC on for the later #.
Car:
2002 Z06
LG longtube headers w/ cats
Halltech CAI
Texas Speed 224/224, .581, 114LSA
Hardened pushrods
Comp 918 valve springs
Billet Double roller timing gear set
The biggest hp and tq gains were both at 6420rpm:
356.5whp to 399whp = +42.5whp
292wtq to 327wtq = +35ft-lbs wtq
Max hp was +36.5whp, and max tq was +26ft-lbs

The car definitely feels faster. I can't wait to get some rubber and hit the track on a Wednesday night with good air.
The cam install makes me want some good heads now, haha. It'd be nice to break 440whp/400tw NA and get into the 11's in Calgary. We will see.
