New bumper discussion

I know there has been plenty of a discussion on rear bumpers mods pre 09 tunnels. Has anybody tried just drilling 1.5” to 2.0” holes? Or for that matter cut a rectangle hole in the rear running board. This would allow the snow to escape and cause less drag. I could care less about looking better with the 09 bumper vs. saving a buck to achieve the same results. Thoughts?

I was thinking of doing that as well.Dunno if it will weaken the bumper or not.

Not weaker

It would not be any weaker. Unless you cut the hole section out of the running board. And would have no effect on the bumper section.
