New Budget New Sled!

So I finally showed my wife we can get out of debt and still have enough to buy me a new sled. I have a budget of about $4500 after I sell my sled so I am trying to find the best sled for the money. Thanks for any input!

The Polaris 07 700 is the best running most reliable sled ever made. I know people with 5K on em and done nothing but change plugs once.

Polaris DOES have a bullet proof motor with their 700. That aside a 2006 REV would be far more fun to ride IMO. The 2006 was arguably their most reliable out of the box sled. With a few minor mods you can get those things to rip.

But I am bias........

Stock for stock- 06 REV wins.

True. I've owned one myself. Just keep an eye on the piston ring keeper pin. They come out and destory a cylinder.

I saw two 06 revs and an 07 rev being towed off the mountain this year with busted cranks. The 07 was the second time this year.. My dad has an M7 and it's reliable and so much fun. I also had a 700 rmk and i loved that too. I personally like the M chassis better..

I put over 6000 miles on my 06 and the only problem i had was self inflicted. Got moister in the harness after a poo stoped and i pushed it a little By the way, there is no 07 M7. Can't beat EFI sled for pull and ride.

That can happen to any piston though. Centerville- with any of these year sleds, you will likely be buying with top ends rebuilt or needing to be rebuilt. Make sure it was done by someone that did a good job and know what parts were used.

If buying a used REV and it is over 2500 miles and hasn't had a fresh top end I would for sure check compression and you will likely want to refresh.

Can you count on all your fingers and toes how many times you've have to pull your diamond drive? Sorry just curious.

for sure. Twice a year for good measure, and you know how hard i run my chit. Just like changing chain oil. Now that I upgraded to an 05, I love it . 1500 miles this year.

My M sleds are the best and funnest sleds I've ever owned. However, I have been riding them since 2005. Frankly, any of the sleds you've mentioned would be great! I think it depends on the mileage, care, and your favorite flavor and color!

I may actually pick up an M for a backup sled. Have run across some incredible deals.

I can say, they are easier than anything you have owned. Get one and youll see me in your cave! That didn't sound right

Your right I was thinking the m8 I'm leaning towards an 800! I know all the deals will be around start of next season but I have been doing my shoping and the M's have the best deals and the doos people still want 5k + out of them WOW!

Go with the M....I loved the one I rode, but then again I'm a Gen II guy so anything is better.
