Hey guys, going to buy some new boots this year. Going to budget myself around $175. Here's a few I stumbled across and kinda like. Any input would be great!

Hmk carbon?

Wolverine vortex boa?

Klim adrenaline gtx?

Thanks in advance

I've gone down this road in the past trying different boots and honestly, I always end up back with Klim boots. My feet have always remained completely dry with Klim, where I cannot say that with other brands I have tried.

Also with boots, spend what you can and get the best you can afford. There is nothing worse then having cold and or wet feet!!!!!!!

Klim for sure.

+1 I picked up some Klim Adrenaline boots this year and love them. Only 2 trips out so far but one day was super wet and the other pretty cold. The boots are very comfortable, dry and warm.

They are pretty stiff at the moment and hoping they break in nicely. If you have a family member with access to govX.com you can get a good deal on boots. Mine were around $190 off the website.

The boots you linked are good looking boots. I am in the same boat, I found my new gear (ended up in Motor Fist Gear for the first time) and I will be watching this thread for boot ideas.

I do have a couple things to add:

1. The taller eyelets for the speed laces on the last boot you linked could be an issue. A couple sleds back I ripped the vinyl in several spots on the back of my seat where the speed lace eyelet caught and ripped as I was going back and forth from side to side while boondocking. However, the seats are shorter these days and it may no longer be a concern.

2. I sure appreciate a thin removable liner because my boots dry so much faster. Most of time it's not that the boots leaked, it's just perspiration that needs to be dried up. I have a boot dryer that has 4 outlets, two for the boots, two for the liners and I have dry boots the next the morning. Once again, I may be aging myself, perhaps the new boots don't even come with removable liners?

I will be going to GovX and watching to see what pops up!

My kid and I have Motorfist Stomper boots. His first pair leaked but they did replace them. So far we both like them but they do not have removable liners.
As far as Klim, I don't thing you can go wrong with anything they have to offer. $.02

like my klim Adrenalins , i agree i'd sell a lot of my wifes stuff to get more gear for me :face-icon-small-hap

Bought Castle X Force boots mid-winter and really like them. First of this style of boot for me- I had been wearing the softer/more conventional (not so purpose built) boots from Sorel, Cabelas, etc. The difference in support and use are amazing, over even really good general purpose winter boots.

Some may disagree but I've been riding with a set of Arctic Sport Muck Boots and couldn't be happier. No laces at all, no snow gets in them since they're knee high and for those sketchy creek crossings you can walk across and check it out and your feet will remain perfectly dry. Most people complain about ankle support, but I've found they're stiff enough to give solid ankle protection while at the same time are flexible enough to be comfortable walking around, unloading sleds, etc. my .02 cents

Been a couple years now, but somebody did a waterproof test, and Castle beat out the other brands tested.

So they do make some good stuff.

That said I run Klim boots, as I found a good deal on leftovers.

Another Klim vote...have had the adrenaline gtx for many, many years. Feet never get cold or wet.

I love the fit, feel and waterproofing of my Klim boa boots. But for the price of $350 its absurd to me that the soles are so soft and get tore up from normal mountain riding. My boots lasted 1 season before the soles were shot and beginning to leak. I know I can't afford a $350 pair of boots every season. I'll be exploring other options for boots this winter

i too love my Klim boots but agree the soles are way to soft for the very aggressive running boards .
