New big fin secondary blown belt 120 miles this is bs!

I have to think that you don't have to get EVO stuff even though that could fix the problem. On my original clutch, I got 510 miles on my first belt and about the same on my second. Since the new clutch, my current belt has about 720 and running strong. No EVO parts so it can be done. Good luck finding and fixing the issue.

I hate to burst your bubble but you can't holed it open all day and not blow a belt. The more HP you got the harder it goes on things.
Have you marked your sheaves and seen where your belt is running? Could be over shifting. You need balance between the primary and driven. It is odd how some guys have very little belt problems while others can't keep one on. No answers just check every aspect of your clutching and hope you don't have to spend big $$ to put a bandaid on it.

I agree with you being that I don't have any issues at all.

Yes you can..

I have a buddy that could hold his M pinned all day long and never blew a single belt.
His sled, wasn't the same,,, his was a 2011 m8 153"- and he was using the cheaper belts,, but are you saying - that's is the reason why??

Another friend of ours has a 2012 xf1100t and he beats the living crap out of his sled(s). Has just as many miles and I believe is on his second or third belt.

11 belts in this many miles is ridiculous

Now, this is not apples to apples comparison of sleds but , with using the more EXPENSIVE belts, but Powerstroke 350, 700 is asking for any success stories out there- not skepticism!

I want to be able to hold it wide open all day and not have belt issues!!!!!!
11 belts 2400miles I want info from someone that has done the fix!!!!

Powerstroke I have the updates on my 2013 800 with the 162 PC track and it has been awesome. My last 2 rides were in at least 3 feet of pow and riding hard all day. I checked my clutches and belt on yesterdays ride after about an hour of hard going. The clutches were hot, but not smoking hot and the belt still looks like new. In the conditions we were in anybodies clutches would have been hot. I have about 300 miles on this belt, I blew one apart last year when my secondary hit that internal plastic stopper and wouldn't shift any further.
Mine never was a belt eater so may not be the best for comparison.

First, thanks for the bad rating! I did not say it was his fault but you see he is from the flat land and guys around here have a tendency to lake race and blowing belts by over running your clutches is common....not enough load! That's why I told him to mark his sheaves and see if he is bottoming the secondary or running over the top on the primary. I don't think anyone has a true answer as to why some have very good luck and others keep blowing.

I ordered some stuff for a couple sleds through osp and there alignment bar il let you no if that helps at all because I've got a belt blower too. They weren't bad when they were new but they seem to be getting worse

I was thinking the same thing and have heard from others that over time your sled can get worse.
I think it is a combination of things:misalignment, belt slippage, bad center to center, chassis/jack shaft flex and under hood heat.

The stock system seems to be setup to fail after so many miles which is sad. But just to see how much everything moves take a prybar to the TCL and watch the show. The whole motor moves which also moves the jackshaft which eventually moves the gears inside the chaincase. When I changed my motor mounts out I was able to just let the mounts fall right out onto the floor. They have so much slop in them and my sled had 1000 miles on it. Now nothing moves at all with the tcl delete.

Well in riding my 13 m1100t I found its a new riding style you cant come out of a small jump with the throttle on that much track speed in the air then on the ground will grenade the belt I rat bagged the sh** out of my m8 and blew one belt in 2 seasons of steady riding. Iv had good success in changing my riding style a bit, I personally have the evo cold air rov kit new clutch and clutch cover. The new cover I think may have been the problem for my sled as I could see the top lugs of my belt being shredded off. I knew buying this sled that there will be money disappearing but its worth every penny. I run the dayco bet and it been so much better imo. Got about 200 ish miles on it and still looks perfect. Even if my sleds belt issues have stopped im still going to buy the tcl delete to finalize a solid sled.

Bought my 1100T last summer. It had the EVO Super Chute kit on it. Drive train was stock including the clutches. I installed the Turbie / Evo Stage 3 TCL delete kit before I even rode it.. I cant tell you how hot the clutches were for the previous owner. He said he went through 3 belts in 750 kms. Not so good. Now my clutches run warm but not hot. I can normally put my hand on them. I did how ever blow a belt but it was the belt I got with it so It might have been on its way out. The new belt I put on it has about 200 km on it and still looks good. Like Reaper said, my stock motor mounts just kind of fell out. They are a joke really and let everything move around way too much. The kit comes with an offset motor mount for the mag side which allows you to alight the motor and clutches. Also before I did the mod my center to center distance was 11 5/8. Now it is exactly 11 1/2 which it should be. The stronger jackshaft is defiantly a plus as well. I know it is a bit premature for a good review on the stage 3 kit since I have not put much mileage on it but what I can say is my clutches do not run hot! Again I am still using the original secondary. Still thinking about going with a team clutch instead of the new big fin.

Thanks for all your replys guys! I blow my belts when I am on it hard in deep snow or when I am holding it wide open on the trail for your info I gear it up to f 1100 gearing and put a 1.75" track on when flatland riding also I am 6'1" 260lb all I want is a fix and with all the people having problems some one should be putting theres through the paces to find a fix I dont want to spend 1200$ then blow a belt and find out it was my clutches the have to spend another 1000$
thanks
