Yesterday we helped the forest service install the The New BCA Beacon Training park at the new parking lot at the top of Fairview (Big Drift parking lot). The training park is ready for you to practice your beacon skillz! You can search for up to 8 beacons at a time.
This is a great service provided to us by BCA / The Forest Service / The Avalanche Center! Be sure to show your respect to it by keeping an eye out for vandals. And be sure to USE IT!!!!!! So that we don't lose it.
If you do use it between now and the next storm, please be a little careful as the wires are not very deep below the snow.
