Shovel, probe, first aid kit, water, snacks extra gloves
Did your pack come with a bladder, if I did, I normally put Gatorade in mine, cause it doesn't freeze as quick as water.
In my pack, I carry extra goggles, gloves, shovel, beacon, water proof matches, and a survival blanket!!

I don't have near as much in it as I'd like but here it goes:
Food:a whole box of granola bars, 2 bottles of water
clothes: extra gloves(an additional thin pair that i usually wear and a thick pair for bitter cold), extra 2 pairs of socks, a neckie, and a maskie. Additionally I pack my underarmor if I don't start with it on.
Survival: 2 lighters, a couple of tampons(to stick down into the gas tank or for a nose broken by a bear attack), basic bandaids n first aid, basic medicinal kit, small tarp-can be used to drag sleds out w/locked up track(ask me how I know that) or as shelter, and a box of hand warmers(fyi u gotta replace those every year otherwise they dont work).
Then shovel n such outside.

If you guys want high quality zip ties go to a electrical supply house and get Panduit or Thomas & Betts. These have the metal tab in the zipper head instead of plastic and a waaay stronger than the hardware store ones and also stay more flexible in the cold.
