Driving around the other day I saw this.....lifted Dodge Mega Cab with the smaller box, with a LARGE re-fueling rig in the box PLUS an 800 Rev with what appeared to be a 159 behind it, no less than a 151 for sure. The front bogie wheels were past the edge of the tailgate and the "tiedowns" were acting as "tieups." Yeow.

Anyone beat that?

I have never tried it....

But if I put my 162 KK in my truck (4 Door Toyota Tacoma) lifed it it up and shut the gate i would have 6 feet stickin out the back becuase its only a 5 foot bed. More out of the truck then in. Just not smart.. lol

most of the weight is in the front anyhow.. who cares. if it works for ya and you need to do it to get there. just dont follow that guy to close... :)

I saw a guy at Turnagain AK that had two sleds loaded in the back of a smaller full size pick up a few weeks ago. Wish I had of got a picture of it! Both were wedged in front ways and both had a ski hanging over the side of the bed. Had to be a pain in the arse to load:eek: The same morning I saw a truck pulling a trailer full of sleds and they had a sled loaded on the tongue of the trailer. Here's a pic of that one, it's a little hard to make out.

Had to carry 2 '95 580 EXT's in the back of my old '78 Chevy shortbox 4x4 years ago! One tunnel out drivers side, one tunnel out passenger side. Good thing it wasn't far! Definitely wider then 8' 6" going down the road! :D

That sled is actually on the tow apparatus of that truck. The trailer toungue is actually not loaded. Obviously a tow truck. Very good use of space. I guess I would have used the flat upper bed of the tow truck instead of the repo lift.

Not sure if this classifies as "will it fit" but I was driving past Turnagain Pass and I saw a early 90s model Chevy caprice pulling a 2 place trailer with 3 sleds on, 2 forward and on backwards, funnest thing I have ever seen.

I've seen an older Saab hatchback with a 01 Summit 144" in the back of it! it was in backwards, and the hatch was gone! LOL

I've also seen a early 90's GMC 1500 regular cab, short bed (which was what 5ft?) with two MXZ Revs in the back, both had the outside skis hanging on the outside of the bed. nice.

I don't have a pic but I haul my 08 M1000 w/162" track in my 92 Ford Ranger. Its a long box but I leave my over the rails tool box in so it like a short box. I built a ramp that goes in my reciever hitch that pivots, the ramp is 12' long since my sled is 11.5' long. 7' of it hangs out past my reciever and 5' goes in the bed, it works really good but look really funny. I haven't been pulled over for it sticking out too far yet but I am sure its just a matter of time.

Trailer lost a wheel(bearings and all) at Ft Greely and I wasn't going to leave the sleds there so we pulled and pushed and said a few four letter words but we got it all back to Fairbanks.

P.S here is how we got the trailer back with the sleds. We picked up another guy along the way. (third sled)
