Sounds like we could possible get enough snow to take a little spin here in Minnesota should I take my new 800 out at this low elavation or just wait till we get out to the mountains. Kinda stupid question but just want to see what some of you guys think!!!

we aren't going to get that snow in south dakota that you guys are going to get but if we get some i'm going to break mine in here, the engine shoudl compensate for the elevation the clutching will be off but just make sure you're not over reving and go. i'd like to get that break in out of the way before i go west the first time this year.

Yes, change out your primary weights for 0-3000' elevation. Put a few miles on it before your out West trip, a good tank of gas should do it. Then you can check everything over and take it to the dealer if anything comes up. When I bought a new sled 3 yrs ago, my speedo didn't work. You would think the dealer would check this on prep. Just some of the dumb things that come up. Besides, you know that you will be itching to ride it in fresh snow.

I'm hoping for a few inches of snow a little north of the cities too. I need my fuel controller and weights for the new setup though :(

Check out the manual.

It tells you to run a tank full of 40:1 mixed (semi-syn) at 5 gallons each (so you don't have the oil in one spot). Ride it hard but don't stay at on RPM level for long. I ride this way all the time anyway. Always blurping the throttle.

Mine ran very sluggish at first. Obviously rich and boggy. After a couple hours, the ECM is broke in and it does wake up some more. I finally got to the point where I don't need to mix. I'm pumped!

Ride it like you know you want too!! I have 5 miles on mine from the last
snow a couple of weeks ago I put in a set of 10-68 the sled runs great
no drivebility issues what so ever very crisp and pulled 81 to 8200 every
time acrossed the field:rockon:

Just put in a set of 10-68 on my RMK Assault - its snowing here in Siren, WI... expect up to 10 inches. Trails are closed until Dec. 13th because of deer season but will try to break in out in the field and ditches.

Put 5 miles on today and she ran great!!!Daughter put more miles then me today on her 120, she rides pretty good for a four year old.
