New 2026 Yeti "one" suspension system

Has anyone had a chance tp ride the 20226 Yeti FR 129 with the "ONE" suspension system as part of the R&D process? Wondering what the opinions may be if it offers any significant advantage over the previous gen. Looks interesting. It appears that the rail width is the same and the major upgrade is the suspension and tougher/reinforced tunnel. Track angle looks much better for climbing too.

Yes Tobe aT Rocky Mt has rode it and loved it , Hes a valued experienced credible source.

Anybody that's ridden one is connected to Yeti so their opinion is worthless on it's performance. Hell, even people without brand affiliation people will flat out lie about products so the only way to actually find anything out is to try it yourself.

It does look like a clever elegant design though.

One of my closest friends is a Yeti tester. I'm hoping to ride it next week if our wives can get their schedules coordinated. I'll let you know when it happens.

Cool to see some new innovation coming out! This looks to be very close to the single shock carbon skid that has been out for a few years now so anyone that has one of those could likely provide some input. Although are to not be biased after spending $7500 on a skid.

In the pic above the approach angle looks to be crazy shallow - the track doesn't even make contact with the ground until about the end of the rear fender. Interesting...

Track angle looks a bit like my S model ARO does. Anyone know if the seat height is lower than previous Yeti's?

Looks similar to the mtn top geometry.

I have seen too many Yeti kits fail in the field to trust it yet. Anything first year from these manufacturers seems to be testing RnD using us, the consumer which I am not a fan of. Pure speculation, but I foresee people braking skid components when the single air shock starts to wear out or temps from the shop changes to -30F in your pickup truck going to the zone and completely changes the ride characteristics. I won't be trying one, not to mention no dealers anywhere near me.

so off base, They Yetis have been super solid the last 4 years, Not one kit here has had any issues other than the rear bumper being thin where the carbon tail ends and that was redesigned for 2026

The last three kits I have personally seen break where all at the end past the upper idler wheels. Actually one of them completely shattered along the side near the idler wheel. I've also seen the front get chipped from rocks and stumps. We ride some pretty marginal snow early season and late season beginning in early November and lasting until June some years. It's concerning enough that I will not chance it given the riding areas we ride and the snow conditions. I think 90% of the riders out there who sit down and ride and have ample snow will never have issues. It's the other 10% of the riders I would be concerned with. Looks like they beefed up the carbon on the new 26 kits, time will tell if they are stronger.

surely ewe have a pic to support that failure claim?

All three are close friends of mine. Only one is still riding his Yeti after a full carbon tunnel exchange ($1000) + shipping to AK since there are zero dealers in the 1000 mile radius of us. One buddy finished the season out by using aluminum and rivets to fix since he is very handy with working on aircraft. Guess you'll just have to take my word for it as I am not here to post failure photos of other peoples kits, only here to share observations.

if ewer going to trash a product then support the claim with a photo, I,m pretty certain they have a cell phone pic"
try that with ewer aluminum chassis " anything can break but a reasonable expectation should be exercised

Dog, Jared is a super stand-up guy, an ambassador for the sport.....he is not brand-bashing...he is saying he or close friends have experienced failures....and my .02 is that the same can be said for any of the brands, for that 10% of riders maybe who ride super early season and into super late season conditions...that is all he is saying....don't try to make it more than that.
