New 2.5 Track on a 2015

Looking at adding the 2.5 track to my 2015. I know Randy said that it was going to be an option. Any details around how that is going to work? Any compromises to be made (other than cost of course)? Nee some info as snowcheck won't last forever! JC

Cool. Thx. But what actually has to be changed out? Would like some details. Will it affect anything negatively at all? Restrict travel? Any other potential issues?

Anyone have thoughts between the new c3 track and the timbersled? One a better option then the other?

We ran the 2016 2.5 ST all day today. Had a 14 ST, 15 sx, 15 LT, and the new ST. I was blown away by how the new track pulls. It clearly is a big step over the previous track.

The 120 Convex 2.5 is $750, the 137 is $850. The 2015 kits will need our $50 track upgrade mount kit.
The upgrade kit mounts up easily and gives the additional clearance needed for the new big paddle track. The Mountain Tamer suspension works just as good, and you can still adjust weight transfer, and everything as before.
Previous year kits don't need the mount kit.

We should have pics of the mount kit up on Timbersled.com just as soon as I get back from the hill cross event here in BC.

big track

I ran a 2.5" x 144 track all year.

in deep powder its just huge, casual steep uphill powder starts will put a smile on your face.

only downside was a couple of late season wet new powder afternoons, pushes enough to be annoying. However I found tighter rear shock spring settings, improved that push a lot.

Lots of days you feel like you are on pavement you are hooked so hard. Overrall all good.

Will they be posted on Timbersleds' website soon? Will it be a limited quantity upgrade, by this I mean will it be available to purchase later in the year and into the season?

no kidding, the new 120 is gonna be super close to the old 137 in the deep IMO. Massive increase in traction with the same length is awesome. Also the gains from the rounded track are stellar on the hardpack

The new tracks and the mount kits for the 2015 ST/LT kits are all up on our site now. We have these items in stock!
Here's the direct link- http://timbersled.com/sbparts.htm?P=98

Or under the Snow Bike section- click replacement parts, then Main Frame/Suspension.
The new items are in red.

We've thoroughly tested these tracks in all snow conditions, and we are fully confident that this track will put you on top first; no matter what year Mountain Horse kit you ride.

Will this new track work on the 15sx if it's cut down to 10.5?

It sure will- and it really rips! I've run it all season on 2 different SX kits.
You can order the new Convex 2.5 track for an ST or LT and cut it yourself, or we offer the cutting service for $100. One of our employees owns the track cutting machine- he cuts them all for the SX kits.
