Anyone have any feedback on the new reverse angle helix in the 09 summits? Thinking of putting it in my 08 but can't find much info yet

With the 08 ramps it would be junk. The 08 ramps already have no shift on the bottom, with less helix it would be worse...
your a little off the mark...the new helix is a 43/47...2008 helix was a 42...a 43 start has "more upshift" than 42 obviously...and the ramps werent the problem last year...the cam was "most" of the problem...BJ

COMPLETE 09 set up in 08 AWESOME![]()
Care to elaborate ther Wyoming T/A??? I assume you mean you've put the 43/47 and the 441's into an '08... or is there a spring change too??? Have you changed the spring tower cap as turbo al has suggested???
If you get a chance, please give us as many details as you can.
Thanks
Reverse cut helix IMO is the wrong way to go. Sounds like they are using is to compensate for the ****ty A$$ ramps that don't provide enough upshift. The drive clutch should be controlling the upshift. Putting in a steeper helix on the top is forcing the primary to upsift. IMO it's going to make the sled very condition and altitude senseative....
8500 feet to 9200 feet and NO RPM change--SOUNDS to me like thr right direction
hmmmmm, T/A, hard to make an accurate claim methinks at this junction of a new season. I gotta think with your ride you just took, that you are on some trails, not much climbing, and minimal load. Gotta agree with Junkie, reverse angle is a copout.
did the exact same ride last year on the 08 and had to change clickers at lower elevation and back at higher elevation to keep the right RPMS--this might not be the answer to all but in my book its a good start-- also when you hit untracked sno the rpms dropped and they dont seel to at all with this set up![]()
