I'm looking to grab my girl and sled n rent a place in or around Nelson for the month of January

Great riding and snow in Nelson. The sledding is less organized than somewhere like revy....so less people and less tracks but the areas aren't always well marked and such. Tons of terrain tho and lots of it has warming huts and groomed trail in/out. Good food and nightlife too.

I do most of my riding with 20 minutes either way of my house. There are 3 large riding areas within 10 minutes of town each way (6 mile, snowater, giveout creek). Within 20 minutes from town you can access the Castlegar/pass creek areas. 20 minutes north and there are some other areas up the lake. 1 hour north puts you in Kaslo which has even more snow, meadow mountain, etc, etc. 1/2 hour the other way gets you to the slocan valley areas. Don't think you'll get bored.....and if you did and wanted to hit up trout lake or revy you're only talking 2-3 hours down the road anyways.

Found a place in Nelson for the month of January. Curious at what elevation the majority of the riding area would be for clutching purposes. I'm a flatlander at home sitting at 850ft

5000-8000 feet should cover pretty much everything

Had a little dry spell for a few weeks....but then got some fresh this weekend and had some fun! Theres definetly some good spots to go.

I go out most Sundays and then my other day off kinda floats. Clumax and greg....shoot me a pm whenever you're in town and wanna ride we,ll set something up for sure
