Pros: obviousley hp and torch!!! YOu get therse things dialed in and there is nothing that can run with them in the steep and deep! Mine is basicly stock w an air box mod and a can and ive yet to see an xp high mark me. Cons: You better be in shape or be used to riding a yamaha because they are a heavy animal, especialy is you get one w a 162. Overall you cant go wrong for the price these things are going for these days, sure you will be out boondocked by an xp, but you can have three rt's for the price of an xp.

There's few mechanical issues you should do to improve longevity and performance. Install a thermostat, reflash to 07 specs, adjust RAVE valves, and double check clutching. There are some other issues of fuel pump problems but look around on snowest and you should find your answers.
You need a thermostat or it will run cold in the deep and bog out. The older RTs need the 07 flash to really make them perform and poorly adjusted RAVE valves can mean the difference of night and day. The cables to the RAVE valves do stretch and this will change the adjustment.
These issues might sound overwhelming but they're not that big of a deal if don't mind tinkering with it. They run extremely strong for a stock sled.
Good luck!
