Need Your Help on a Wolf/Elk FWP Project for MT

I'm working on a project and need some help.
Does anyone know how I can find info over the last decade from FWP for the following:

MT elk census data by hunting district
MT elk harvest #s by hunting district
MT elk license #s (resident and nonresident)
MT hunter success rates by hunting district

again, #s for the last decade

Their website is useless, unless I'm just using all the logical searches in the logical tabs or subsets and the data is in an illogical place.

You should be able to go down to the fwp here in missoula and ask them. thay should have most of what you are looking for.Thay have people call at the end of the season to ask if you have gotton anything.I think there numbers are a bit off when that do the count.I think most of the bio sit behind a desk and make up a number.I dont think most of them get out and see what is going on.What kind of study are you doing?

there was an msu study done from 99 to 09 on an elk herd in the southern gallatin that decreased by over 67 percent. that should be somewhere on the web, i saw it at capital sports here in helena

You mite check with the Rockey Mountain Elk Foundation. Not sure they will have all that info but they will probabbly have some good info. I know they have a office in Missoula.

I sent you a PM but here is the websites for any one else

You can get all this info on the montana fwp hunting website. The exact report info is really hard to understand. All fwp regional departments have access to this information and personel that can explain it.
There is also a weekly wolf report, by the Fish and Game

OMg, you found it! The hunting surveys were what I needed. Thank you! :beer; I think this is pretty much what I need and, yes, it's hard to understand!!! But I have the name of a guy who can explain it now that I have the right info. I can take him to those stats and ask him the specifics of "what does this mean" w/o bringing up the evil, divisive and politically charged "W" word.

And rmk2thetop - I had called RMEF, but the guy said they basically get their numbers from FWP. He still sent me 10 PDF files, but they weren't really what we needed - bummer.
