need wiring help asap

just wired a trailer i bought from a guy and i can't get any turn signal or brake lights. I have taillights and i have checked my fuses and i can't figure out what it is. Please help

Wiring is pretty simple. You need power and ground. A voltmeter makes fixing these things much easier.

a few quick questions
1-are the lights on tow vehicle working proporly?
2-is the trailer wire color coded?
3-does the tow vehicle have red or amber turn signal in the rear?
let me know the above info and I can help

its domestic and the lights on the vehicle are working the trailer is color coded and the trailer has red turn signals. the trailer has a y harness with standard yellow brown and green wires and the tail lights have red black and ground. the black is for tail and the red is for turn and brake.

(9 out of 10) It's the ground.
Does it ground back to the truck/car thru the ball or does it have its own ground lead in the pig tail?
Make a quick jumper from the trailer chassis to vehicle chassis, what do you get?
