I just picked up a 1998 xc 600 twin and was going to put a 136" or 144" under it I have run 1 1/2" lug height before but was wondering if a 1 3/4 or 2" would clear with stock 9 tooth stock drivers???

I had to go with 8 tooth drivers on a 1.75" track. It was a tight fit to get in and wonder about its ability to clear snow.
A 144 by 1.5 might be plenty.
If I remember, I had to run the track pretty tight as it wanted to come up and slap the bottom of the tunnel. You could get the front end sky high and feel the track smack the the tunnel and kill your track speed so it would drop the front end real quick. I could also feel it when climbing and it sucked as it drug the speed down.

Same with the 1.75 I remember doing this in the garage in 1998 with a die grinder.
