need to know what primary spring comes in DJ's summit 800 kit

bought a new kit off of ebay brand new for low elevation sleds and the spring isnt the same as the high kit. Joe hasn't gotten back to me and I need to get the correct rate spring in it. Please help.

can't help you with the spring question but there is another post on here stating Joe was hurt in a sled accident and cracked some ribs. He is going to be out for a week it said.

If it is GREY, its a Dalton 205/328. I run a blue/blue 130/290 at 8,000 and UP:D Next question should be: How much weight in the pins?

That's one of the good (or bad?) things about the TRA, there are so many different ways to skin a cat, different clicker postion, rollers, springs, weight, secondary set-up it's a bit overwhelming.

With a 160-350 I had to go to 18.3G to get out of a pipe surge. I'm just going to have to bring the stuff to the hill to fine tune it
The thing that sucks for most of us I think is the hills we ride on aren't in our back yard. What pulls good on the field might not on a powder hill

I took about 2.5 grams out (15.5 now) because I was only getting 7,800 in the meadows and 7,500 on a climb. That change gave me the 8-8,100 I was looking for on clicker 4 BUT, it raised my engagement from 3,800 to 5,000 which really suxs so we changed out to the BLUE/Blue and now at 3,900/8,100 on a new DOO belt.

19/45 gearing at 8,000 + give me a top end of 70/75 on a groomed trail.

The good thing about the TRA is once you get all the above right you can change the clicker for altitude, air temp and humidity.

thanks for the info. I was trying to make a guess as to what spring rate to use. my engagement with 17g and 230/350 spring was way too high and I didn't want to have to run 23g. I needed a the correct starting point without the trial and error at twenty bucks a pop
