need suggestions on turbo apex

Couple of quick questions if someone can help. My boost gauge is only half full of oil, do i need to put a new one on or are they supposed to be this way, it looks likes some has leaked out. Also the sled has had royal purple oil in it since new should i continue the same thing or is there something good enough off the shelf i.e. mobil 1 full synthetic or something similar? I am new to the turbo thing so any advice will help. the sled is a 07 apex with a outlaw motorsports bd turbo

The gauge is suppose to be like that. I use Yamalube 0w.

you can refill them i think its mineral oil if i remember right it should be a little over half full.as for motor oil i have used yamalube 0-40 synthetic amsoil synthetic & mobile 1 all worked good.

As long as you keep on with synthetic you should have no problems. I run the yamalube 0w30 synthetic. As for the gauge any mineral oil will work.
