Need some opinions on what this is worth...

97 700 RMK, ~2200 miles with Simmons and a new 151 camplast with extentions that also lengthen the hyfax, along with new lower ratio sprockets and chain --- all else stock and in good shape except for some cracks in the hood.
I'm just looking for an honest opinion as a good friend is interested and I want to be fair.
Thank you.

I wouldn't pay more than 800.00 for a 12 year old sled. I have a 2001 AC 800 with boss seat, twin d&d's, drop and roll, and alot more extras that I will sell for 1,500.00 if that gives you any kind of a comparison.

 I am pretty familiar with older sled prices as I have one myself and look at ads weekly. I'm pretty sure at least where I live you could sell a 97 700 RMK with a 151 a few times over fairly easily for $1500. I'm not too familiar with Arctic Cat prices but RMK's and Summits similar to yours would be selling for $2500 plus. Maybe you are just a generous guy and not too concerned with getting the most $ out of your sleds. :)

Keep in mind I'm not knocking you mtn_extreme.... I sold my 02 zr 800 (stretched to a 151x2x16) last year for $3000 and I could have sold three of them before I pulled the ad.

I would say $1500 for sale and maybe $1100-$1200 to a good friend. Just my .02. It was the benchmark for mtn sleds in its day and still a decent sled.

$1500 - $1800 depending on the little things. If it was garage kept and in real nice asthetic shape $1800 wouldn't be a bad price. If on the other hand it sits outside, trailed on an open trailer, has some rust and stuff $1500 would be better.

I must say after going to Haydays this year you would not believe how CHEAP sleds where going for. If you want to be fare to a friend I would say $1200 at the max a $1000 would be a deal. We had several sleds at Haydays for sale and one of them was a 95 xcr 600 ya not the best sled around but is in great shape I would say a 8 in a 1 to 10 scale we had $700 on it and no one even gave a stupid offer on it. We brougt it home with us. MT sleds in the 02 to 04 seem to be around $3000 so long story short $2500 maybe a bit much for a 97

I really wish I had 2 G's to throw at another old mod sled, a ton of old 670's and triple rotax's that would be a ton of fun that are an absolute steal right now!

Confusious say:

Sell old sled to good friend

Bid farewell to sled and friendship

Just kidding...

I am in the midwest and mountain sled prices are pretty ugly here...saw a super clean 05 Viper mountain with a only few hundred miles for $2700... by that rate, a 97 would be a door prize for the next person to use the bathroom. If you are out West, I would think they are worth more than here. For your sake I hope so. And this isn't a one sided deal here either. Your buddy needs to give you the same consideration and not expect you to just give it away. Best sell it on CL or Ebay and stay friends. Good luck man.
