need some help, Thanks

I have a 2006 900, I have been riding it for the past 2 years now and love it, I ran into my first problem yesterday. After i had been riding for about 5-6 miles and came to a stop the sled acted like it was going to die, but just had a hard time idiling, the sled would surge up and down just alittle but not die. While it was doing this there was a constant clicking next to all the wires by the stering post, i also couldn't get the sled to go in reverse, and my brake light on the dash was very faint. I took it to the machanic at polaris and he thought there could be something wrong with the tps sensor or possible my stator. if anyone could give me there thought or ideas i would sure appericate it, thanks.

Sounds like TPS to me .My sled used to do the same thing. I built the tool and did the calibration and its never run better . I would suggest this as a staring point . Its easy and cheap and apperently most people find theres off by quite a bit Mine sure was .

Does it foul plugs ?

thanks

Thanks for the help, i should of been a little more clear on the clicking noise. it is coming form the electrical box by the steering post, i did check though to make sure it wasn't a shorted out wire. I have never heard about the ATV TPS deal thought. I am assuming that is an after market deal or set up. If you can think of anything else that would be great, thanks.

the clicking is not a shorted wire they do tat when the idle drops below 900 RPM I belive it's the EV soleniod that makes the click as it cycles on and off . At less than 900 rpm the stator just barley makes enough power to run the sled.
