need some help on a vac.

next year a few of us plan on coming out west some wheres and ride, trying to get ideas on where to go, we want to do some back country riding. plan on renting sleds so we dont have to truck all the sleds all the way out there. any input would be great. who knows maybe we can hook up with some one on here and you could show us some sick spots to ride.

I figured this was going to be a thread on vacuums.

My opinion of them: They suck.

But since this is not a thread about vacuums, I'd suggest the snowies. Ther'es a few places to rent from right in Laramie, maverick rents doos....

west yellowstone is were we go, but would like to find a new place to go, been going there for 21 yrs. now

yes it is! i guess also where to ride and if we could ride good pow from where we would stay or what not... i was on that deallers website and couldnt find the snowmobile rentals, it took me to bikes.

couple question.
where are you coming from.
how many people in your group.
how much experience do you have.
how long are you going to stay.

we are coming from maine, min of three of us, for the most part we only ride off trail around here, i know its nothing out like that way. i would like to ride at least 3 or 4 days.

I like the snowies! I would. rec. http://www.snowymountainlodge.com/ as long as you dont like to drink. no alcohol there when I went there. But I dont drink much, so that doesnt bother me.. Very very very nice place! I could live there in that main log cabin! Great food as well. we ate luch there a few times.

Ive got some pics from that area...

i would be one of the guys going out with a2jet16v. looking at those pictures is insane, it is mostly all woods here, yes there are places with very deep snow, but its not huge open places like the pictures. no cornices to drop, not really any chutes to climb. that is what we are looking to do, and ride the steep and deep!!!

If you going to rent I would recommend west yellowstone, you will rent sleds for at least 50 to 75 dollars a day cheaper and you can find great lodging at a lot better deal then anywhere else out west. Oh and there is every kinda of riding you want if know where to go. I would suggest hiring a guide. Pm me if you have anymore questions I use to work out in west and can get some names and numbers to you of people who can set you up out there.
Later D
