need some .02

i am running a 2006 stock m7. i am wanting to go higher. what do you guys thing should be my first step towards going big? money is an issue. i can not just go out and blow 4g on turbo, but i wish i could. i mountain ride with some boondocking. no trail riding. thanks for any advise.

i would say a powerclaw track with a anti stab kit my buddy has an m7 with a can and a powerclaw it is pretty impressive

Here is what I got on my '06 M7:
~MBRP Can
~10.4" Secondary (larger diameter than stock)
~Geard down to 55/65 (BDX Gears)
~Power Claw Track
~Clutched (Can't remember what weight/springs...it's been a while.)
~ V-Force Reeds (really couldn't tell any diff with this mod...skip it.)

Thats about it....really not that much compared to others.

Now, with this little bit done to it, it will haul me (all 250lbs.) up a Mountain like I'm not on it at all!!
I'll take a closer look at my clutch springs tonight, and see if maybe I can remember what weights I have in the Primary.
With this small list of mods, you'll be more than happy with your sled, well I am atleast!! :face-icon-small-coo

SLP Powder Pros, PC track and ride as much as possible, if you get way better then your buddies you will smoke them even if their sleds are better, especially when its really deep. Unless you are only climbing straight hills (and even if you are in some cases), manouverability and rider ability are the best (and cheapest) assets you can have.

If money is an object, I'd go with the free-ish stuff you can find on here, (loosen the track, port the track, lightweight can if you can afford, clutch work, etc...) At the same time step on a scale and see what it tells you. I have no idea what you weigh, but I can tell you my old 600 would dang near keep up with my buddy's 800 in the powder thanks to him having about 40 lbs on me and his sled having about 20lbs on mine. If you're carrying a few extra lbs, do what you can to improve that and you'll love the difference!! Not bagging on anyone, just giving a relatively free suggestion for improved performance... I swear the 10 lbs I gained last year was keeping me lower on the hills this winter, and I'm determined to loose it!! :)

I just put BOSS NOSS on my M8. That is the best upgrade I've ever done. Tons of power (but now I push the button too much and usually run out of Nitrous by the end of the day).

BOSS NOSS doesn't require a fuel controller either, the system works kinda like a carb and pulls the right amount of fuel on it's own.
