Pro Women's snowmobile racer Dani Medin here.. I want to share this with you.
You need to get on a pair of Curve XS. You won't ever go back to anything else.
The very principle we've designed the Curve XS around is letting the ski form the snow into a shape it can use instead of falling mercy to what is currently on the trail or the track.
WHAT SETS CURVE XS APART FROM ANY OTHER AFTERMARKET SKI?
It is the most versatile snowmobile ski on the market. As with conventional skis, they tend to do well in some conditions but not others. The main reason for this is consistency. Since the profile design of a conventional ski is constant, it will work best only in a condition that allows the profile to function at its maximum capacity. As the snow consistency changes, so does the handling of your machine.
Curve Industries patented Continuously Variable Geometry. What does that mean? When the snow passes under a curve XS ski it doesn't stay on the same path it started on.
The ski has different profiles across the bottom that does different things.
1. The front of the ski has a high surface area with an intake profile that grabs a whole bunch of snow.
2. Then the snow is channeled into a compaction profile under the spindle where it is formed into a rail on each side of the keel; giving your ski something to ride and hold on to.
3. Once the rail is formed, it is held in that shape and used to guide the back of the keel maintaining steering stability and resisting the tendency to dart.
4. The rail of snow then enters the ejection profile, is evacuated and sprayed into your skid for added cooling and lubrication.
CURVE XS SKIS are available in seven colors and nine loop colors. We offer our consumers a Ski Trade in Program, an industry first. Our engineered technology:
Snow Control Profile- an exclusive profile that forms and compresses snow into rails under the snowmobile ski.
X-Beam mounting structure- the complex geometry on top of the snowmobile ski serves double duty as a spindle mount and deflection control.
Synergy Ski Loop- a variable loop cross section allows the snowmobile ski tip to flex without impeding its movement. The loop to ski locking mechanism ensures a tight, hassle free connection.
Carbides:
Stud Boy 2198 Series 17" host bar, 4 stud pattern carbides
Snow Studs RM78 Series 4", 6", 8", 10" carbides
Mounting Hardware:
Curve Xtremes are offered with a custom engineered hardware system that consists of choice grade zinc plated carbon and stainless steel fasteners.
CONSUMER REVIEWS:
Chris Coleman- RMR Sport Rider
"So much better than my C and A's. They turn so good and float like the C and A XT's. I'm going to run them for now on."
Peter Tamburro- DooTalk member, Aggressive Trail Rider
“Having used the Curve Skis on last year’s 1200 X and my 2010 XRS I can tell you they work in all situations. Carve a good line, easier steering, less darting and better floatation than most skis I've used and I’ve had plenty. C&A's, Powder pro's, Slydogs. You get what you pay for and the Curves don't disappoint at all… Dealing with Nick and Sean at Curves is also an added plus. Great guys with a real passion for snowmobiling. GREAT SKI!”
Dani Medin- Pro Women's Snowmobile Racer
"They are so much lighter than my C and A's. I am not good at cornering and these skis definitely help. Not to mention, the color combination looks mint with my graphic kit!"
I CHALLENEGE YOU TO ORDER ONE SET. Steve Hamilton- WFO Foto, who is the photographer for ISOC professional snocross racing said, "Ride them and it’s over. You'll get em’...”
