I have an 09 700 that my son rides and put the SB wide front end on it. Now want to go back the the IQ (standard width) A-arms and the Zero Pro's are 1/2" to long.

Anyone run a shock that was long on their sled? Wonder if this is an option..?

THX!

I know from experience that 17" C to C and 17.5" C to C will both work. 17" C to C is the standard dimension.

Cool, I will give it a try. I just didn't want anything quirky for my 13 yr old to deal with.

Steering effort will be easier with the shorter correct length.

You can compensate a bit with the limiter strap let out.

It is easy to shim the shock rod to bring the ride height down.

Proper ride height in the front is KEY on the IQ between "pretty good" and excellent handling IMO.

my understanding is that the dragin has a shock length of 17.2 inches and the Pro 17.5 similiar to what is being spoken about here.

With that it sounds like they will work. Mountain horse you speak of shimming the shock down. How woudl that be done with install of PRO shocks on the dragon?

Take/send them to a shock service center... they will pop off the piston... add the proper shim between the piston and re-assemble/charge the shock... quick and easy.

If you are running the PRO WE shocks on the IQ... Best to get them revalved... I have some friends that ran them on their backup sleds after installing floats on their PRO's and found that they were vavled to softly on the compression side.
