Sounds to me from the other couple of WC threads that you shouldn't have much trouble hooking up with a group because LOTS of people are intent on showing up there.
No offense meant but you should read those other threads and realize that this is a ton of fresh snow and the riding will be challenging. As much as I like taking new people out, these are not the best conditions for learning.
Maybe WC is a good spot to learn deep powder riding with the trail network, sounds promising from some of the other posts. When I was new to the mountains I hit Molas because of the trail network. Made it easy to be safely off trail, with the trail right there when the powder and the sled whoop your butt. You definitely do not want to be way off trail in a storm like this with people you really do not know.
