Need riding area recommendations for Spokane area

I will be joining three friends and using one of their homes in north Spokane as our base/lodging. We plan to ride two or three areas within an hour drive of Spokane at the end of February. None of us has ridden the areas around Spokane so I am asking for recommendations.

My three friends all have below average riding skills and are most at home on groomed trails. They will all be riding early 2000's mountain tracked sleds. I consider myself slightly above average and prefer boondocking and playing on hillsides in deep snow. I'll be riding a more modern mountain sled. Our compromise is that I play off trail for a short time when we come to a moderately challenging area.

I know snow levels are way down compared with previous years thus far but am primarily looking for a decent groomed trail system that offers an occasional area for me to play off trail.

We will be using a pickup with a sled deck and another with a 2 place trailer so smaller Snoparks are fine with us.

Much appreciated. Hammered

Been a few years since I've ridden over there, but have been to Kalispell peak. Go north of Spokane thru Chewelah, then north on Sand canyon road, that will get you to the trail system, no Idea if they have any snow this year. There's also riding near Collville, east of Usk is Kings lake and Bald mountain, I believe there's riding out of Newport as well (Metoline?).you can always drive north and east and hit Preist Lake in Idaho. Disclaimer: No idea of the current snow pack at any of these areas this season, good luck.
